Solar panel maintenance and repair.
Panels checked, wiring checked, production tested, and a written report - by a technician who actually shows up. Not remote monitoring. Oklahoma City metro.
Get a Solar Maintenance VisitTwo kinds of call come in here. One is a system whose installer is no longer in business - nobody left to answer the phone, let alone show up for a repair. The other is a system that is simply not doing what it used to: production has dropped, an inverter is throwing a fault, or nobody has looked at the panels since the day they went up. Both get the same answer: a technician on your roof, not a subscription or an app.
CRE Roofing has installed residential solar since 2018 and our electricians are on staff, not subcontracted - the same reason we can take on a roof with an array already mounted to it. We did not have to originally install your system to service it.
What this is not
This is not remote monitoring. We do not sell a dashboard, an app, or an alert feed. It is a scheduled visit by a technician who gets on the roof, checks the hardware in person, and hands you a written report of what is actually going on.

Orphaned systems
Your installer closed. Your system did not.
Solar installers go out of business, and when they do, the homeowner is usually the last to find out - until something needs service and the phone number is dead or belongs to someone else now.
Not a 1-800 number
We are a local Warr Acres company, family owned since 2018. Somebody answers the phone, and it is the same somebody next year.
We take on systems we did not install
Different panel brand, different inverter, different mounting hardware - we inspect it on its own terms rather than turning down the job because our name is not on the original permit.
Manufacturer warranty is a separate question
Your panels and inverter may still carry their own manufacturer warranty even though the installer is gone. We will tell you what we see; the manufacturer or your paperwork tells you what is covered.
What a visit actually involves
Inspection
Panels, racking, wiring and connections checked in person, on the roof.
Cleaning
Where buildup is actually hurting production, not a wash-every-visit upsell.
Production test
What the system is producing, checked against what it should be.
Written report
What we found, in plain language, and what it means for your system.
Not sure which one you need? Call and describe what the system is doing - a production drop, a fault light, or panels nobody has checked in years all lead to a different starting point.
Signs it is worth a call
What we hear right before someone calls.
Production dropped
The system is making noticeably less than it used to, or less than a neighbor's comparable array.
An inverter fault or light
An error code, a blinking light, or an app that stopped updating because the installer's monitoring service went dark with the company.
Nobody has looked at it since install day
Panels collect dust, pollen and grime like anything else outside. If it has been years, it is worth a check.
Common questions
My solar installer went out of business. Now what?
Call someone who is still in business. The panels, wiring and inverter did not stop needing service just because the company that installed them did. We take on systems we did not originally install: we inspect the array and the wiring, tell you honestly what state it is in, and handle repairs or cleaning from there.
Does my solar warranty still work if the installer is gone?
It depends which warranty you mean. A workmanship or installation warranty from the company that installed your system typically ends when that company closes - there is nobody left to honor it. Panel and inverter manufacturers usually carry their own separate warranty that does not depend on your installer still existing. Check your paperwork or contact the manufacturer to find out what still applies; either way, the hardware still needs a technician to look at it.
Do you monitor my system remotely?
No. We do not offer remote monitoring or a dashboard. This is a technician who comes to your address, gets on the roof, checks the panels and the wiring, tests what the system is actually producing, and leaves you with a written report. If you want ongoing remote monitoring, that is a different product and not one we sell.
What does a maintenance or repair visit cost?
It depends on what the system needs - a cleaning and inspection is a different job than an inverter fault or a wiring repair. Call the office, tell us what you are seeing, and we will give you a straight answer instead of a range that changes later.
Do you install new solar systems too?
That is a separate conversation - see our solar page. This page is about maintaining and repairing panels already on a roof, including systems we did not originally install.
Do your electricians do the repair work?
Yes. Our electricians are on staff, not subcontracted, which is also why we can do solar panel detach and reset work when a roof needs replacing underneath an array.
Is this available outside the Oklahoma City metro?
Not currently. Maintenance and repair visits are an Oklahoma City metro service. If you are further out, call and we will tell you honestly whether we can get to you.
Get your system looked at by someone who actually shows up.
Tell us what the system is doing, or what your old installer used to handle, and we will tell you honestly what a visit involves.
